My Brother Got Married

The Newly Wed Bang and Ding - Mr. & Mrs. Aban

Ephesians 5:22-33 ESV

“Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands. Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,”

The Newly Weds Bang and Ding – Mr. & Mrs. Aban

These are the commandments I would want my brother and new sister to remember as they now enter to a blessed and sacred covenant of marriage. June 8, 2013, my brother and now new sister Elva exchanged marriage vows and committed their lives to one another. I have seen them both working so hard to personally attend to every detail of the wedding. I truly commend both of them for having the heart to save while taking all effort to make their big day beautiful and memorable. Check out more of their preparation on their own wedding page. I want to thank them also for making me and my kids a part of their important day (Me the host at the reception and my Edward the Coin bearer who instantly became the bible bearer :D). And above all, thank you guys for giving us 2-day vacation before the kids classes started. It is my prayer that God will always bless you both with patience, forgiveness and love. May you keep Him in the center of your marriage, for only by God’s grace and presence in the marriage will a marriage last. I love you both!

The Groom’s immediate family
At the reception – I love how the bride took off her wedding dress skirt and turned it into a beautiful mini dress!

Mama and I – after doing her hair and makeup :). Sumi selfie lang! eheheheh
I did her hair and makeup! 🙂

On the day before the wedding, we stayed at Chali Beach Resort where they took 2 rooms for each of them. Me and the kids stayed with my brother and enjoyed the 2-night stay at the resort. I love the early morning breeze and it gave me the opportunity to really appreciate God’s wonders and creation. My kids also enjoyed their bible reading. The wedding day was crazy busy (as expected) – from morning til midnight! Thankfully we get to enjoy the resort the day after the wedding.

One with the Nature – enjoying the little fishes and the warmth of the sea water early in the morning 🙂
They had so much fun checking out the place
Early morning 🙂
Still they manage to read their bible (I’m glad our room has a bible)

It’s More Fun to Be with CDOBloggers

I have been a part of the CDObloggers community since its first year. Though I was not able to join them in the very first meet up at Candys sometime in November almost 5 years ago, I was able to attend the second meet up and the rest of them (if not all, most of them) to date. Throughout the years, I have collected tons of photos on different occasions – from parties, bonding to event invitations. I was just browsing some photos in my hard-drive and realized that a lot of my photos with the CDOBloggers brings a lot of great memories and happiness. If I were not a part of this group, I would really want to join should I see the group’s craziness in all these photos! So here, let me share some of the fun and crazy stuff we have been doing.

Places I want to Visit Again

Taal Volcano Crater - with Dan

It’s been my dream to travel around the Philippines and enjoy the beautiful scenery God have abundantly blessed our country with. Though I don’t travel much because I don’t have the luxury and the resources to go to where I wanted to go, I am thankful that at least I was able to go to some famous places everyone is talking about. I went to these places with my friends and this year I wish to go back to any of these places this time with my family.

Taal Volcano Crater – with Dan

From Tagaytay, we hired a van to bring us to Talisay, Batanggas. We took a boat and crossed Taal Lake and finally reached where they have horses for rent. We can either walk or take a horse-ride to get to the crater. Of course we chose the latter! It was a stiff ride I must say (total adventure!) Horse ride is at P450-500/head, with guide already.

At the Crater of Taal Volcano – after a 30-minute horse ride passing through stiff hills and cliffs to get to the crater. Very rewarding! Thanks to our guides!
With our guides and horses going to Taal Volcano – that is after a boat ride. We came straight to the place straight from Tagaytay.
The beautiful Tagaytay! – It’s been a while since I visited the place and I heard there have been many tourist attractions added worth visiting.
Baguio dear Baguio! I love the cold weather and the beautiful tourist spot. I pray for the Lord to allow me to go back this time with my little family.
Bohol – oh yes! a must-visit place in the Philippines. We were quite in a hurry when I visited with friends due to our limited time. I wish to come back with my family, this time really savoring the beauty of the place.
