“It is better to give than to receive”
I am quite sure you all have heard of the saying before, if not ones, all your life! But are we really living it or it just became an ordinary saying that have gone meaningless.
Well, the bible says (excuse me to those who have other beliefs – you may skip this part).
Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD your God which He has given you.
I guess non of you will argue that to help is both universal and Godly. So with that as our inspiration, the Pinay Mommies Community held a relief operations sharing to some families who were struck by typhoon Sendong in Cagayan de Oro. These families are still living in the relocation center waiting for their aloted houses ready as the government have promised. We went to 2 relocation centers and distributed toiletres to 60+ families. As mentioned on another post, the care pack contained, large bottle of shampoos, detergent powders, fabric conditioners, dishwashing soap and bath soap, enough to last for a month perhaps.
First stop. Relocation center right behind methodist church in carmen – near Madonna Child Hospital.
Second stop – relocation along Alco, Carmen with 33 families on board.
The mommies from Pinay Mommies Community who volunteered to repack and distribute the goods. From left-right, Karen, Phebie, Ruby, Dharlz, Emma and Jaqs. Thank you to P&G e.Studyante Program for entrusting this to the group. To the Pastor of Pinaymommyonline’s church for driving and to everyone who supported to fund the vehicle’s gasoline and foods. May God continue to bless you!
